Landscape Design and Installation in Pendleton
Jessamine Landscaping does landscaping in Pendleton: flagstone, boulders, new plants, sod, mulch and the drainage that keeps it all in place. Up one Pendleton hillside, big flagstone slabs climb through fresh mulch to the house, with path lights beside them and boulders, young evergreens and flowering shrubs planted around them. One company planned the stone and the beds together.

Flagstone steps up a planted Pendleton slope
Up one Pendleton hillside we set flagstone steps, each a single thick slab, so you climb from the lawn to the back door on stone. Low path lights beside the slabs light the way after dark.
Around the steps we mulched the slope and planted rows of small groundcover, a young tree on a stake and clumps of ornamental grass. Where the bed meets the concrete walk at the top, a strip of river rock in metal edging keeps the two apart.

What we've built in Pendleton
- Pendleton is 13 miles from our Anderson base.
- We built flagstone slab steps with path lights up a mulched, planted slope to a dark board-and-batten house in Pendleton.
- At the foot of the slope we stacked a long boulder wall and leveled a gravel seating pad in front of it.
- In another Pendleton backyard we laid a raised paver patio with a lidded block fire pit and a curved seat wall.
Common Questions
Flagstone or pavers for a walkway?
Flagstone is natural stone set in irregular pieces, a relaxed look through a garden. Pavers are uniform and set tight, a cleaner line. We install both, so you can compare them standing in your yard.
Will new sod and plants do well in red clay?
Clay holds water and packs down hard, so planting straight into it is how plants stall. Soil prep and drainage come first, then the sod or the plants. Sod prep is part of the job.
