Landscape Design and Installation in Greenville
Jessamine Landscaping designs and installs landscapes in Greenville, and most of that work is at new builds. A front bed at one new house sits in a curved block border, filled with river rock, arborvitae and small shrubs. Out back at a Greenville pool, lit river rock beds hold a young maple, red-leaf shrubs and evergreens. Free estimates.

River rock beds and evergreens at Greenville new builds
At the front entry of one new Greenville house, we set an arborvitae at each end of the window and lower shrubs in river rock between them, against the stone veneer.
In the pool yard we used river rock instead of mulch, with low lights in the stones and a young maple between the deck and the sod. Arborvitae line the white vinyl fence, and metal edging keeps the rock out of the grass.
We plant, sod, mulch, lay river rock and sort out yard drainage under one estimate. You deal with one crew from the first visit to the last bed.

What we've built in Greenville
- Most of our Greenville jobs are at new builds.
- Behind one new build we built a long block retaining wall with stepped ends to hold a sodded slope, then laid a wide paver patio and walk in front of it.
- At a pool yard we laid a round paver fire pit patio with a block seat wall, and lit river rock beds edged in capped block.
- Across the front of a new house we built a curved block wall that raises a river rock bed of arborvitae and shrubs.
Common Questions
Why does water sit in my yard after rain, and can you fix it?
Standing water means the ground does not drain, the grade sends water to the wrong place, or both. Upstate red clay sheds water slowly, so puddles form fast. Yard drainage is one of our services. We look at where the water is going and give it somewhere to go.
Will new sod and plants do well in red clay?
Clay holds water and packs down hard, so planting straight into it is how plants stall. Soil prep and drainage come first, then the sod or the plants. Sod prep is part of the job.
"I found Jessaminelandscapings phone number and called for a stairway down to my boat dock which was extremely steep and long. Lex, the owner, showed up within hours to see the job and he knew it was going to be a challenge. He told me he would get back with me as soon as he got the pricing together. Lex was extremely polite, intelligent and professional. He contacted me within the week with an excellent proposal that proves he was very knowledgeable. He then within days showed up with crews and did miracles with the drainage problems on the steep hill of my backyard. Within the week he and his crews showed up and built the most incredible concrete stairs to my boat dock along with all the mitigation and rock drainage paths to go with it. It looks like a million dollar job. I would highly recommend his company for any landscaping needs you would have. I couldn't be any happier."
