Call 864-633-4524 for a Free EstimateHow much does paver installation cost in Anderson and the Upstate?
The price follows the square footage, how much ground has to be dug out, the base the ground needs, the paver you pick, how much slope and drainage work the yard calls for, and how accessible the project site is. Upstate red clay holds water, so the base and drainage get the work before the pavers do. Estimates are free, and you get the number after we see the yard.

Why Call Jessamine for Paver Installation
- Decades of experience. We bring decades of experience to every paver patio, driveway and walkway.
- Base prep first. Proper materials and base prep under every paver, because the base decides how long the job lasts.
- Proper water drainage. The slope and drainage are planned before the first paver goes down, so water leaves the patio.
Why do paver patios sink?
- No firm base under them. The crew skips the dig-out to firm soil, or never compacts the stone, and the patio settles after the first wet spell. We use proper materials and do the base prep first, because the base is what the pavers sit on.
- No slope away from the house. Water pools on the patio or runs toward the foundation. We plan the drainage and set the slope before the first paver goes down.
- No edge restraint. Without a firm edge, pavers creep outward and the joints open up. Edges are part of proper base prep on our jobs, so the whole patio stays locked together.

Common Questions
What goes underneath the pavers?
A compacted stone base, built on ground that has been dug out to firm soil. The pavers sit on that base, not on dirt. Upstate red clay holds water, so the base has a second job, getting water out from under the patio. Proper materials and proper base prep are where we start every paver job.
How long do pavers last?
A paver patio lasts as long as its base does. The pavers themselves are durable. What fails early is the part underneath: ground that was never dug out to firm soil, stone that was not compacted, or water with nowhere to go. We have built them for decades, and it comes down to the base.
Are pavers better than concrete?
They fail differently. A slab cracks when the ground moves, and a crack means a patch or a replacement. A paver that settles gets lifted, the base fixed, and the paver relaid. Both need good prep underneath. For patios, walkways and driveways where you want a repair and not a rebuild, pavers are what we build.
Will the patio slope away from my house?
Yes. Water has to leave the patio and move away from the house, so the slope is set before the first paver goes down. We plan proper water drainage into every paver job.
Do you fill low spots with dirt or stone?
Stone, packed down in layers. Dirt keeps compressing under a patio and leaves a dip. Filling low spots with the right material is part of proper base prep.
How do you ensure accuracy on build to height and pitch?
We use state of the art technology such as ziplevels and self leveling rotary laser levels to ensure our measurements are exactly where we need them to be. Whether this means we need a perfect 2% pitch to ensure water runs off or the top of our patio needs to be flush with your doorway or driveway, we have the tools needed to deliver a high quality product.
