Common Questions
Why does water sit in my yard after rain, and can you fix it?
Standing water means the ground does not drain, the grade sends water to the wrong place, or both. Upstate red clay sheds water slowly, so puddles form fast. Yard drainage is one of our services. We look at where the water is going and give it somewhere to go.
Can you plan the planting, drainage and stonework together?
Yes. That is the reason to call one company. Plants, sod, mulch, river rock, flagstone and drainage are planned as one yard, so a new bed does not wash out the walkway beside it.
Flagstone or pavers for a walkway?
Flagstone is natural stone set in irregular pieces, a relaxed look through a garden. Pavers are uniform and set tight, a cleaner line. We install both, so you can compare them standing in your yard.
Will new sod and plants do well in red clay?
Clay holds water and packs down hard, so planting straight into it is how plants stall. Soil prep and drainage come first, then the sod or the plants. Sod prep is part of the job.
