Landscape Design and Installation in Easley
Jessamine Landscaping designs and installs landscapes in Easley, from plants, sod and mulch to river rock, flagstone paths and yard drainage. At one new house there, we set a flagstone path through a planted bed and ran river rock down a mulched slope. At a two-story with a wraparound porch, azalea islands sit under tall shade trees. Flagstone, river rock and azaleas in Easley yards
Along the side of one Easley house, we planted a red Japanese maple, an arborvitae, white-flowering shrubs and hostas, and curved the flagstone path through the bed. Metal edging holds the outside line against the bare red clay.
Water coming off a slope has to land somewhere. On the same lot we ran a wide band of river rock down the mulched hill and set black pipe openings into the stones. You get drainage and a finished bed in one job.
Older yards get work too. At the house with the wraparound porch, pink and white azaleas fill mulched islands on the lawn, and we put fresh beds of small shrubs and boulders under the crape myrtles.

What we've built in Easley
- We stacked two tiers of boulders to hold a mulched terrace along a driveway, with a drain at the base and new sod in front.
- Beside the house, we set stone slab steps up through a boulder retaining wall.
- We curved a flagstone path through a planted mulch bed and ran a band of river rock down a mulched red clay slope.
Common Questions
Can you plan the planting, drainage and stonework together?
Yes. That is the reason to call one company. Plants, sod, mulch, river rock, flagstone and drainage are planned as one yard, so a new bed does not wash out the walkway beside it.
Will new sod and plants do well in red clay?
Clay holds water and packs down hard, so planting straight into it is how plants stall. Soil prep and drainage come first, then the sod or the plants. Sod prep is part of the job.
"I found Jessaminelandscapings phone number and called for a stairway down to my boat dock which was extremely steep and long. Lex, the owner, showed up within hours to see the job and he knew it was going to be a challenge. He told me he would get back with me as soon as he got the pricing together. Lex was extremely polite, intelligent and professional. He contacted me within the week with an excellent proposal that proves he was very knowledgeable. He then within days showed up with crews and did miracles with the drainage problems on the steep hill of my backyard. Within the week he and his crews showed up and built the most incredible concrete stairs to my boat dock along with all the mitigation and rock drainage paths to go with it. It looks like a million dollar job. I would highly recommend his company for any landscaping needs you would have. I couldn't be any happier."
