Boulder tiers and stone steps on an Easley slope

We held a sloped Easley lot with big gray boulders stacked in two curved tiers, where the ground falls away toward the woods. Each shelf got mulch, and sod went down at the foot of the lower one.

A wall that tall needs a way through it. Wide slab treads cut up the middle of the boulders beside the house, so you walk from the lawn to the driveway without going around. Out by the road, we edged the new sod with a long boulder run too.
